My husband Dale and I interviewed several local contractors to do some extensive renovations to our home. After meeting with MONK Renovations there was no question as to who we wanted to hire, we could not have chosen better!
What impressed us initially, was that Dan was on time, as well as honest and upfront with us about our renovation goals. He and his Estimator/Project Manager took the time to go over each and every item on our renovation list, pointing out possible challenges and making suggestions. MONK Renovations then provided us with a very detailed quote and a list of local businesses that they patronize on a regular basis. When renovation day arrived, the entire crew were here exactly at the time promised and within 2 hours the project was well underway and a parade of delivery trucks brought in all of the needed supplies.
We were living in our home while it was being renovated but this was never an issue as the crew were very professional and considerate. Dan would check in with us weekly keeping us updated on what the crew would be doing in the upcoming week. The project was finished in the timeline provided and on budget.
In my opinion, Dan Monk is a great small business owner, he has excellent people skills as well as a keen understanding of the strengths of his crew and assigns them appropriately to the tasks required. As the tagline for his business states, he can be trusted and he is professional. I also appreciate that he subcontracts his plumbing and electrical work to other local small business owners, thus strengthening the local economy.
Are we happy that we chose MONK Renovations? Yes! Would we recommend them? Definitely! Are they deserving of this award? Absolutely!
