29 Oct Paliwal – Most Outstanding Kitchen Renovation
A 14 year old two (2) story home in Portland Hills, Dartmouth with a kitchen, which was much too small to be functional for a busy family of 5, plus friends and family who visit regularly. The home owner wanted more space for daily living and entertaining. This client came to us, as many do, by way of “google search” followed by checking out our website and our references. Then they realized we renovated a kitchen for their neighbours, who gave a glowing recommendation, which sealed the deal.
MONK’s team of professional carpenters, suppliers (Kent Building Supplies) and sub-trades (Evergreen Electric / Beav’s Plumbing) converted a small, dark, dated kitchen into a completely intergraded, modern kitchen dining and living space. We started with removing a wall between the kitchen and dining area, relocating electrical and ventilation, installed LED pot-lights, under-cabinet and pendant lights (Living Lighting), all on dimmers for optimal lighting. We installed new “jatoba” hardwood floors (Taylor Flooring), which is the hardest species of hardwood available and a gorgeous looking floor. Additionally, we installed 1 new window to allow more light over the new sink location.
The kitchen cabinets were expertly crafted with detail by Quest Kitchens and are a traditional shaker style, off white and gray, glass doors with lights in the upper cabinets, glass tiled backsplash, quartz countertops (Nova Tile & Marble) and a beautiful, big, functional island.
Our client was amazed at the transformation and of their once tight kitchen space into a stunning and inviting living space for cooking and entertaining
MONK has built their reputation on “Trust” and “Professionalism”, which are critical to a successful renovation project. “We do it well and we do it right”, creating a positive experience for our clients.
